The 2021 Dallas Amateur Championship presented by Omni Hotel & Resorts was another resounding success thanks to golfers throughout DFW. Both the Men's and Senior Men's competitions came down to the wire with Drew Evans nailing a 40-footer on the final hole of regulation to win the Men's competition and Lee Sandlin winning the Men's Senior on the 2nd playoff hole.
Nearly 600 entrants, male and female, attempted to qualify at the always challenging Cedar Crest GC in order to be in the select field of the two-day finale at Trinity Forest Golf Club. Net proceeds from the DAC benefit the I AM a Golfer Foundation and its mission of being a catalyst for community renewal and transformation in south Dallas through the programming, preservation, and promotion of the historic Cedar Crest GC.
Omni Hotels & Resorts served as presenting sponsor along with Dallas Golf, SMU Cox, Benchmark Bank, and Align Capital Partners leading the way as premier partners. The support of the sponsors and players is what makes the DAC flourish and allows the IAMGF to achieve its vision of a fully restored, flourishing Cedar Crest Golf Course and community.
