How do I qualify for the Dallas Amateur Championship?
To qualify for the championship rounds, you must register for a qualifier round on June 6, June 14, June 28, or July 11.
The Women’s Division for the Dallas Amateur Championship does not require participation in a qualifier. All players in the Women’s Open and Women’s Senior (55+) divisions are selected directly into the Championship field.
How do I register and pay for the qualifier rounds and championship rounds?
To register and pay for the qualifier rounds, you must do so online. Once registration is open, click here to complete the registration. To register and pay for the championship rounds, you must first qualify to play. You will receive an email with the registration link.
How many people will qualify in each division?
The number of players qualifying from each division is determined by the number of participants in that division. At least 20% of players from each qualifier will advance to the championship. This qualifying figure will be established and communicated at the beginning of each qualifier.
Can I register without a USGA GHIN Handicap?
Yes, however, proof of an ACTIVE handicap index from a USGA-Sanctioned/Compliant source is required. This proof can be a picture of your handicap card or a screenshot of your profile. Both options must include your name and index. This proof should be provided by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. prior to your registration. We will use the most recent handicap as of the registration deadline. The DAC Handicap Committee may, at its sole discretion, adjust a player's handicap in advance of the event.
What is the Handicap Verification policy for the Men's Net Division?
To protect the integrity of the Dallas Amateur Championship and ensure fair competition in the Men’s Net Division, all players competing in the Men’s Net Division must provide proof of an active Handicap Index from a USGA-sanctioned or USGA-compliant handicap source. In addition, players in the Men’s Net Division must have a minimum of eight posted scores within the previous 12 months at the time of registration or handicap verification. This requirement is a Dallas Amateur Championship local eligibility standard and is intended to ensure that each player’s Handicap Index reasonably reflects current playing ability.
Players who do not meet the minimum eight-score requirement may be deemed ineligible for the Men’s Net Division, even if they have an active Handicap Index. The Dallas Amateur Championship Handicap Committee reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to review, verify, adjust, approve, or deny any player’s Handicap Index or division eligibility before the competition. Acceptable proof may include a screenshot or official handicap profile showing the player’s name, current Handicap Index, handicap source, and recent scoring record. All handicap documentation must be submitted by the stated registration or verification deadline.
Is there a waitlist?
Yes, there is a waitlist for the qualifier rounds only. Should a qualifier become full, a waitlist is started. Players may register to be added to the waitlist with no guarantee to compete; however, players are encouraged to register for a qualifier on a different date. Players on the waitlist will be added in the order they registered. Once tee times for qualifiers are published, players from the waitlist will NOT be added.
How will I know if I qualify?
Qualified players are announced at the end of each qualifier once all scorecards are received from each player. Players will also receive an email of the final scores, which will note who has qualified on the qualifier date.
Can I play in multiple qualifiers?
Yes, you may register and play in as many qualifiers as you like as long as there is space available.
How will I register for the championship if I qualify?
All qualified players will receive a separate email with a link to register for the championship rounds.
Who is an exempt player?
The exempt players are the 2025 Dallas Amateur Champions and Runners Up, Dallas Amateur Division Champions (all years), 2025 TGA Amateur Championships (Statewide), Top 750 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR), and 2024 Southwest Airlines Showcase at Cedar Crest Champions & Runners Up.

Who is eligible to compete in the Women’s Divisions, and how do they register?
The Women’s Division is open to amateur female golfers. Players will be placed into either the Women's Open Division or Women's Senior Division (55+) based on age.

Do all divisions of the Dallas Amateur Championship receive WAGR (World Amateur Golf Ranking) points?
No. At this time, only the Men’s Open Division is eligible to receive WAGR points, as it meets the required format of a 54-hole (3-day) competition.

WAGR eligibility requires tournaments to be at least 54 holes. The Men's Senior, Men's Net, Women’s Open, and Women's Senior Divisions are 36-hole (2-day) events and therefore do not meet the current WAGR criteria.

Are there any additional fees after I register?
Qualifier entry fee includes green fee, shared golf cart, range balls, refreshments, and tournament gift. The Championship entry fee includes green fee, shared golf cart, range balls, on-course snacks & beverages, and a championship gift.
Additional/optional fees after registration - Caddie fee, food & beverage purchases, golf merchandise, or other services.
Can I bring a Caddie?
Although caddies are not necessary for the qualifiers or championship rounds, you are welcome to bring a caddie. Caddies, if utilized, must follow the "One Seat" policy, which states that the player OR the caddie may ride but never in the same cart at the same time, i.e, you get "One Seat".

Spectators should not be on the practice facilities, and when on the golf course, should remain near the cart path. Spectator carts will not be available

How to Request a Refund?

- In the event of a change/withdrawal and refund request more than 48 hours after registration -and- prior to the entry deadline, the entry fee will be returned minus a $25 administrative fee.
- In the event of a change/withdrawal and refund request more than 48 hours after registration -and- after the entry deadline, the entry fee will be returned minus a $50 administrative fee.
- No refunds will be given for withdrawals made less than 24 hours prior to the start of the competition.
- No refunds will be made once the competition has begun.
