2023 Scholarship Program

This year, and with the appreciation of our supporters and partners, the I AM a Golfer Foundation will award $100,000 in scholarships to deserving high school seniors and college students. This funding more than doubles the number of scholarships we have offered over the previous five years. This increase also allows us to introduce a new and impactful scholarship that speaks directly to our vision of being a catalyst for community renewal and transformation.

The new Cedar Crest Community Scholarship is open to seniors who attend F.D. Roosevelt High School and South Oak Cliff High School. This year we will award $20,000 in scholarships; a $10,000 scholarship to one student at Roosevelt High School and a $10,000 to one student at South Oak Cliff High School.

The I AM a Golfer Intern Scholarship is open to recently graduated seniors and college students participating in the I AM a Golfer Internship program. This year we will award $60,000 in scholarships to our Spring/Summer internship program participants.

The I AM a Golfer Scholarship Foundation, under the NTPGA Fairway to Success Program, is open to high school seniors participating in the NTPGA Fairway to Success program. Our scholarship specifically targets students at Lincoln High School and D. W. Carter High School. This year we will award four $5,000 scholarships to participating students.

Cedar Crest Community Scholarship

The Cedar Crest Communities Scholarship is open to seniors who attend F.D. Roosevelt High School and South Oak Cliff High School. This year we will award $20,000 in scholarships; a $10,000 scholarship to one student at Roosevelt High School and a $10,000 to one student at South Oak Cliff High School.

Eligibility Requirements:

Must attend FD Roosevelt High School or South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas, Texas.
Must apply by the deadline date of April 24, 2023, complete with a copy of the applicant’s high school transcript and short answer essays.

Our scholarship committee reviews online scholarship applications, applicants are narrowed down, and a select group moves through to an interview process. After interviews, a final review process occurs, and scholarship recipients are notified.
Application Period: March 20, 2023 - April 24, 2023
Applications Deadline: Midnight on April 24, 2023

I AM a Golfer Internship Scholarship

The I AM a Golfer Intern Scholarship is open to recently graduated seniors and college students participating in the I AM a Golfer Internship program. This year we will award $60,000 in scholarships to our Spring/Summer internship program participants.

Eligibility Requirements:

Must complete at least eight (8) weeks of the I AM a Golfer internship program.
Must apply by the deadline date of July 17, 2023, complete with a copy of the applicant’s most recent transcript and short answer essays.

Our scholarship committee reviews online scholarship applications, applicants are narrowed down, and a select group moves through to an interview process. After interviews, a final review process occurs, and scholarship recipients are notified.
Application Period: July 3, 2023 – July 17, 2023
Applications Deadline: Midnight on July 17, 2023
