The 2024 Dallas Amateur Championship (DAC), presented by OMNI Hotel & Resorts, was a resounding success, thanks to the participation of DFW golfers. This year's DAC was particularly notable as a WAGR (World Amateur Golf Ranking) counting tournament for the Men's Open Division. Sunday's finals saw victories in several divisions: Ryan Burgess topped the Men's Open Division, while second-time DAC participant Trent Groth secured first place in the Men's Net. Elisabeth Rau won the Women's Open Division along with Anna Schultz's triumphant first place in the Women's Senior Open Division. Lastly, John Donahue was crowned the 2024 DAC Champion in the Men's Senior Open Division.
A championship field of approximately 118 male and female participants played the three-day championship at Trinity Forest Golf Club on July 26-28th. Net proceeds benefited the I AM a Golfer Foundation and its mission of being a catalyst for community renewal and transformation in south Dallas through the Programming, Preservation, and Promotion of the historic Cedar Crest GC.
