Eligibility:

Amateur golfers age 18+, on or before July 25, with a current USGA-approved handicap that meets the division requirement.

Amateur players may compete to qualify for the championship rounds at Cedar Crest Golf Course.

Women's Open and Women's Senior Division players may enter directly into the Championship field. Spaces are Limited

Tournament Format
- Each qualifier is an 18-hole stroke play competition.
- The Men's Open Championship is a 54-hole stroke play event held over three days.
- All other division Championships are a 36-hole stroke play event held over two days.

Pairings & Tee Times
Pairings & Tee Times
- Pairings and tee times are emailed to all players using the Golf Genius Tournament Software.
- Pairings and tee times are emailed 2 days prior (no later than 5:00 pm) to the qualifier and made available at www.iamagolfer.com.
- Qualifier #1 & Qualifer #2 tee times will start at 10:00 am.
- Qualifer #3, Qualifer #4, and the Last Chance Qualifer will start at 7:30 am.
- Championship tee times for all rounds will start at 7:30 am.
- Pairings for Qualifiers and Round One of the Championship are grouped by handicap. Subsequent Championship Rounds are paired based on the previous round's score.

- Qualifiers: In the event of a tie for qualifying positions, all ties will advance to the Championship.
- Championship: Ties for first place in any division are resolved through a sudden-death playoff.
Scoring Procedures
Scoring Procedures
- All players must return their signed scorecards to the scoring area immediately upon completion of their round.
- Failure to return a scorecard may result in disqualification.
- Electronic scoring is utilized; however, the official scorecard remains the primary record.

- Participants are expected to uphold the highest standards of sportsmanship and etiquette, including:
- Respecting fellow competitors, officials, and course staff.
- Adhering to all tournament rules and regulations.
- Maintaining pace of play.
- Avoiding the use of inappropriate language or behavior
- Violations may result in penalties, including disqualification or suspension from future events.
- Men: Collared shirts and golf slacks or shorts.
- Women: Golf-appropriate tops and skirts, slacks, or shorts.
- Denim, t-shirts, and athletic shorts are not permitted.
- Caddies are permitted but must adhere to the same dress code and conduct standards as players.
- A player may obtain distance information by use of a distance-measuring device. If during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3.
- If you are uncertain about the legality of your distance measuring device, please consult a Rules Committee Member to verify the distance measuring device you are using is permitted.

- The tournament will be conducted in accordance with the USGA Rules of Golf.
- Local rules specific to each course will be provided prior to play.
- Any disputes or questions will be resolved by the Tournament Committee, whose decisions are final.

- Last Chance Qualifier at The Courses at Watters Creek - TBD
- Qualifier practice rounds at Cedar Crest Golf Course are $50 (includes green fee, cart fee, and range balls) and can be reserved by player on the specified dates.
- Qualifier practice rounds at Indian Creek Golf Club & The Courses at Watters Creek are TBD.
- Championship practice rounds may be reserved at Cedar Crest Golf Course on July 16th, 17th, & 23rd between 1:00 pm - 3:50 pm
- Championship practice rounds at Cedar Crest Golf Course are $50 (includes green fee, cart fee, and range balls) and can be reserved by player on the specified dates.

- Players are paired on golf carts with players in his/her tee time.
- Players are encouraged to ride to keep up with the pace of play, however, players will have the option to walk.
- Single rider carts are NOT available.
- Pushcarts will be allowed during the event.
- All caddies and spectators are required to walk.

The Dallas Amateur Championship is a premier event that brings together amateur golfers from across the region to compete on the storied grounds of Cedar Crest Golf Course. Designed by renowned architect A.W. Tillinghast and opened in 1919, Cedar Crest has hosted significant tournaments, including the 1927 PGA Championship won by Walter Hagen and the 1954 United Golf Association National Open won by Charlie Sifford. Central to this legacy is the I AM a Golfer Foundation, established in 2018 with a mission to catalyze community renewal through the programming, preservation, and promotion of Cedar Crest Golf Course.
