The I AM a Golfer Foundation’s Internship Program at Cedar Crest Golf Course provides paid, hands-on learning opportunities for high school and college students. Designed to develop professional skills and real-world experience, our program helps interns build a strong foundation for their careers while making a meaningful impact in the community.
Interns will gain experience in areas such as administration, fundraising, coaching, marketing, and golf operations. Through mentorship and engagement, participants will develop key competencies highly valued by employers.

Internship Projects & Learning Engagements
Our summer interns engage in meaningful projects and learning experiences that contribute to their professional growth. Some of our past projects include:

Videography Projects: Capturing and editing video content for marketing and social media.

Event Planning Projects: Organizing junior golf tournaments, community engagement events, and fundraising initiatives.

Giving Back to the Community: Volunteering in local projects that support youth development and golf accessibility.
In addition to project-based learning, our interns have participated in exciting learning engagement experiences, such as:

Charles Schwab Financial Literacy Workshops – Gaining valuable insights on financial management and planning.

Visit to Southwest Airlines – Learning about corporate leadership, customer service, and operational excellence.

UT Southwestern Educational Tour – Exploring careers in healthcare and leadership within the medical industry.
These engagements help interns develop real-world skills, expand their networks, and gain a broader perspective on career opportunities beyond the golf industry.
