How do I qualify for the Dallas Amateur Championship?
To qualify for the championship rounds, you must register to compete in a qualifier round on  June 8th, June 15th, June 23rd, June 29th or July 12th
  
How do I register and pay for the qualifier rounds and championship rounds?
To register and pay for the qualifier rounds, you must do so online. Click here to complete the registration. To register and pay for the championship rounds, you must first qualify to play, and you will receive an email with the registration link.

How many people will qualify in each division?
The number of players to qualify from each division is contingent upon the number of players within the division for each qualifier. This number will be set and communicated at the start of each qualifier. Historically, approximately 15% of each qualifier advances to the championship. The final number will be set and communicated at the start of each qualifier.

Can I register without a USGA GHIN Handicap?
Yes, however proof of a handicap index from a credible source is required. This proof can be a picture of your handicap card or a screenshot of your profile. Both options must include your name and index. This proof should be provided by email to iThis email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. prior to your registration.
 
Is there a waitlist?
Yes, there is a waitlist for the qualifier rounds only. Should a qualifier become full, a waitlist is started. Players may register to be added to the waitlist with no guarantee to compete, however, players are encouraged to register for a qualifier on a different date. Players on the waitlist will be added in the order they registered. Once tee times for qualifiers are published, players from the waitlist will NOT be added.   

How will I know if I qualified?
Qualified players are announced at the end of each qualifier once all scorecards are received from each player. Players will also receive an email of the final scores which will note who has qualified on the qualifier date.

Can I play in multiple qualifiers?
Yes, you may register and play in as many qualifiers as you like as long as there is space available. 

How will l register for the championship if I qualified?
All qualified players will receive a separate email with a link to register for the championship rounds.

Who is an exempt player?
The exempt players are the 2023 Dallas Amateur Champions and Runners Up, Dallas Amateur Division Champions (all years), 2023 TGA Amateur Champions, and 2023 Southwest Airlines Showcase at Cedar Crest Champions & Runners Up. View the exempt player list here.

What is the deadline for an exempt player?
Exempt players must register for the Dallas Amateur Championship by July 5, 2024.

Are there any additional fees after I register? 
Qualifier entry fee includes green fee, shared golf cart, range balls, refreshments, and tournament gift. The Championship entry fee includes green fee, shared golf cart, range balls, on-course snacks & beverages, and championship gift.

Additional/optional fees after registration - Caddie fee, food & beverage purchases, golf merchandise or other services.

Can I bring a Caddie?
Although caddies are not necessary for the qualifiers or championship rounds, you are welcome to bring a caddie.  For the championship rounds, if you do not have a caddie but would like to use one, you must purchase your caddie via the Trinity Forest Golf Shop. Caddies, if utilized, must follow the "One Seat" policy which states that the player OR the caddie may ride but never in the same cart at the same time, i.e, you get "One Seat".

Can I walk for the qualifier rounds and championship rounds?
Yes, players will have the option to walk.

Carts and Spectators
Players are encouraged to ride during the qualifying rounds and championship round, however, will have the option to walk. Push Carts are allowed. Caddies, if utilized, must follow the "One Seat" policy which states that the player OR the caddie may ride but never in the same cart at the same time, i.e, you get "One Seat".

Spectators should not be on the practice facilities, and when on the golf course, must abide by the current Dallas Amateur Championship spectator policy. Spectator carts will not be available

How to Request a Refund?
*Please read the complete policy including fees.
To request a refund, you must click here then:
1. Select the qualifier for which you are registered and would like a refund then click the registration button on the left-hand side of the page.
2. Choose edit registration and log into your account.
3. Once you are logged in you can cancel your registration and request a refund.
4. Save all changes.
- In the event of a change/withdrawal and refund request more than 48 hours after registration -and- prior to the entry deadline, the entry fee will be returned minus a $25 administrative fee.
- In the event of a change/withdrawal and refund request more than 48 hours after registration -and- after the entry deadline, the entry fee will be returned minus a $50 administrative fee.
- No refunds will be given for withdrawals made less than 24 hours prior to the start of the competition. 
- No refunds will be made once the competition has begun. 

Can I change my division?
To change your division, you must visit here then:

1. Select the qualifier you are currently registered for and click the registration button on the left-hand side of the qualifier home page.
2. Choose edit registration and log into your account.
3. Once you are logged in you can change your division.
4. Save all changes.

Can I change the qualifier I registered for? 
Yes, if space is available. The steps to do so are:
NOTE: *An administrative fee accompanies all changes/refunds.
  1. Click here to make sure space is available in your desired qualifier. 
  2. Choose your new desired qualifier and register.
  3. Follow the steps above under "How to Request a Refund" (for your original entry/qualifier)
