The I AM a Golfer Foundation is proud to announce a new partnership with Paul Quinn College through their nationally recognized Corporate Work Program (CWP). This innovative initiative is designed to give students real-world work experience while helping fund their education, equipping them with the tools, skills, and networks they need to thrive in their careers after graduation.
Paul Quinn College, the first Urban Work College in the nation, requires every student to participate in the Corporate Work Program. Through this model, students work for corporate and nonprofit partners, gaining meaningful professional experience while reducing the cost of tuition. The program not only strengthens students’ résumés but also prepares them to enter the workforce as leaders with confidence and real-world expertise.
Through this partnership, the I AM a Golfer Foundation has welcomed two talented interns to our team:
-
Juan Mendoza – A Senior majoring in Business Administration. Juan is also a dedicated student-athlete at Paul Quinn, balancing his academics and athletics while preparing for a career in business and leadership.
-
Simara Barton – A Senior majoring in Nursing. Simara is equally committed to her sport and her studies, and she brings a passion for teamwork and service that aligns perfectly with our mission.
Both Juan and Simara have hit the ground running with IAMGF, contributing their skills and perspectives while learning about nonprofit management, community engagement, and golf industry operations. Their presence enriches our work, and we are excited to support their professional development as they prepare for life after college.
At the I AM a Golfer Foundation, we believe in the power of opportunity, both on and off the course. This partnership with Paul Quinn College reflects our commitment to investing in young leaders, providing them with pathways to success, and reinforcing our role as a community-focused organization.
We look forward to growing this partnership and to supporting more Paul Quinn College students in the years to come.
