The I AM a Golfer Foundation (IAMGF) is proud to continue its partnership with the Ben Hogan Foundation, which provides scholarship support to benefit students participating in the IAMGF internship program. This generous commitment provides two $5,000 scholarships to support interns who are pursuing higher education while gaining professional experience through the Foundation’s programs.
Partnerships like this play an important role in helping IAMGF expand opportunities for the young leaders we serve. Our internship program provides students with meaningful real-world experience in nonprofit operations, community programming, golf events, and course operations, while also building leadership skills and professional confidence.
The Ben Hogan Foundation was established to honor the legacy and character of legendary golfer Ben Hogan by supporting programs that emphasize education, perseverance, integrity, and hard work. Those values align closely with the mission of the I AM a Golfer Foundation, which uses golf as a platform to help students grow academically, personally, and professionally.
This partnership has already helped support outstanding students within our program. In 2025, scholarships sponsored by the Ben Hogan Foundation were awarded to Jonathan Lee of the University of North Texas and Simara Barton of Paul Quinn College, recognizing their dedication to both their academic studies and their contributions as IAMGF interns.
We are grateful for the continued support of the Ben Hogan Foundation and their investment in the next generation of leaders. Through partnerships like this, the I AM a Golfer Foundation is able to strengthen pathways that connect education, mentorship, and opportunity for students working to build their future.
