The I AM a Golfer Pillar provides affordable, quality instruction, playing opportunities, and mentoring for local junior golfers. Under this program, local youth, ages 7 to 18, are given an opportunity to learn the game of golf in a fun and competitive atmosphere; enhancing their skills on and off the golf course.
This is achieved through the following:
- Programming for Beginners to Advanced Golfers
- Proven Instruction Concepts and Methods
- Funding for Tournament Fees
- Personal Mentoring
- Character Development
The development of junior golfers relies heavily on appropriate instruction and proper group assignments. The I AM a Golfer Foundation's Junior Golf Program will follow the Operation 36 Golf program. This program utilizes a user-friendly app that allows our coaches to progress kids through the phases of development using their rank levels and playing divisions.
Our program's curriculum is play-centered, motivating, and measurable; the program focuses on the Golf Course Etiquette and Management, Rules of Golf, and Fundamentals of the Golf Swing (Putting, Chipping, Pitching, Full Swing - Iron, and Full Swing - Wood).
