The I AM a Golfer Junior Academy officially kicked off this Saturday, March 12, at Cedar Crest Golf Course with the first Training Camp of the Spring Season for Level 3 students.
After three months of off-season, returning students were happy to be back on the course, and new students were excited to touch a club. The morning started with the coaches and student introductions and a special welcome to the new Junior Program addition, Coach Phil. Mr. Phil is the Assistant Golf Professional at Cedar Crest Golf Course, and his integration into the Junior Program will provide students with golf knowledge to help improve their capacity.
The two-hour training camp focused on putting, chipping, and driving. The students also learned about the importance of water intake.
"Take care of your bodies, drink more water and fewer sodas and juices," said Coach Darius.
IAMGF thanks all the participants and families who have signed up for the 2022 Spring Season. Registration is now FULL and IAMGF is beyond excited for the opportunity to work with the capacity crowd of both returning and new participants.
