Historic day at Cedar Crest Golf Course as two iconic statues were unveiled on May 8, 2023. The statues of Dr. Charlie Sifford and Walter Hagen have a permanent home in southern Dallas. A long time dream for the IAMGF was made possible by supporters like Steven Borick Foundation, The Hoblitzelle Foundation, The CBRE Foundaiton Dale Family Foundation, and many more.
During the ceremony IAMGF awarded scholarhips to two students from the community, Joanna R. from Roosevelt High School and JaLynn M. from Lincoln High School, each received a $10,000 scholarship. Since its inception in 2018, IAMGF has provided instructional programming to more than 450 young people in the area, created 91 paid internship positions for local high school and college students, and awarded more than $200,000 in higher education scholarships.
